Lois Teicher has several site-specific installations to her name in Michigan and throughout the country. Her list of public artwork will grow in the coming months, with some work ready to be installed as soon as all the logistical details are figured out, other work in progress and other in ideation.
And she also has proposals for public art that will never be installed. The artwork is very good, but for various reasons, the proposal was rejected. Curator Veronica Bielat was thinking that she would like for the public to at least see this public art that never was by Lois Teicher and other sculptors. So she curated an exhibit of the small scale models at Detroit Artists Market.
