Greenroom Gallery

1234 Washington Boulevard
Detroit MI 48226

This gallery was originally sponsored by Emerson's Haberdashery, and was in the same suite as the clothier. Not far from David Klein Gallery. Note that the gallery has a separate buzzer at the front of the building.

To be more precise, the gallery was a part of the Emerson's Haberdashery retail space that has been redesignated as an art exhibition space. Openings and closings were generally on Friday evenings. Gallery hours were about the same as store hours.

Emerson the dog had free rein over the whole space, and was very friendly with almost all other dogs who come to events in either the gallery or the store.

As of December 16, 2023, I strongly believe this gallery to be permanently closed.

Upcoming exhibitions

The gallery owner is looking for a new space. I don't know which artists have had to put their plans on hold, and even if I did, I could not predict how their plans will change.
