Named after Virgil H. Carr, the Carr Center is a hub for both the visual arts and the performing arts. The two exhibition spaces in the old space on Grand River were the Ford Gallery and the Masco Gallery. The center was usually open on Tuesdays through Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. I don't yet know what the hours will be for the new location.
Current exhibition
- Holiday group show. Opened November 29 and slated to run to January 5.
Upcoming exhibitions
- Michael Kelly Williams retrospective, at 1505 Woodward. Slated to open April 6, 2018? Not sure if this one was canceled or postponed or what.
These are all at 15 E. Kirby unless noted otherwise.
